Movies (For Programmers) I Will Watch This Year

After watching Pirates of Silicon Valley for the nth time, I have decided to make a list of the top movies I will watch this year that have something to do with computers, programming, and hacking. Of course, I won’t be listing down the ‘technical’ videos/clips your normally see everyday, but I am talking about movies that are stimulating to watch, especially for those with programming oriented mind like me (or not).

I hope I can watch all of them once in a while.

  • Pirates of Silicon Valley
  • The Social Network
  • Revolution OS
  • The First $20 Million is Always the Hardest
  • WarGames
  • We Live in Public
  • The IT Crowd
  • Office Space
  • The Net
  • 23
  • Takedown
  • Antitrust
  • Swordfish
  • Sneakers

and others soon to follow.

Any movie suggestions in mind?

Just wanted to share a 9gag-inspired photo made by my student from Web Development 2 (WB-DEV2) class.
And yes, I finally confirmed that I don’t have classes tomorrow. (Hurray for make-up class/es!)

Class Cancellations

  • — Secretary:
  • Mr. Limpin, kindly inform your students that you will not be attending the Microsoft event.
  • — Me:
  • So the event tomorrow is cancelled?
  • — Secretary:
  • No, only few are chosen to participate the event. Mr. Soriano will be attending.
  • — Me:
  • I see. But I already announced to my class yesterday that the class is cancelled tomorrow.
  • — Secretary:
  • Kindly announce it to them in your Facebook group.

Here’s a screen shot of my recent Klout score. I was able to get as high as 59.15 last 5 days ago, and I’m now approaching the 60-mark.
But the question is, is Klout scores / social scoring really that important?
